Emerald Isle
Waterbird Stewards of Emerald Isle is a volunteer group supporting the NC Wildlife Resources Commission’s Waterbirds Project.
Stewards help monitor posted nesting habitat near the western end of Emerald Isle (“The Point”) from April through August. Stewards monitor nesting activity and raise awareness and excitement with the public regarding ways to reduce disturbance to the nesting site.
